Commercial Gas Engineer

Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading mechanical and electrical engineering company in their search for a Commercial Gas Engineer to work between Blackburn and Crewe.

For the successful commercial gas engineer our client is offering:

• Competitive salary £40,000 - £43,000 depending on experience
• 40 hours a week/ variable start times (Days)
• Permanent position
• 20 Days annual leave + bank holidays

The role – Commercial Gas Engineer:

• Heating/ combustion maintenance reactive repair works
• Work within set time frames to me clients expectations 
• Undertake heating/combustion PPM works
• Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant including basic electrical fault finding
• Maintain stock control systems as directed
• Carry out on call duties as part of a rota
• Commercial and domestic installations
• Domestic fault finding and servicing
• Minor plumbing works

What our client is looking for in a Commercial Gas Engineer:

• Commercial gas qualifications (CIGA1, COCN1, ICPN1, TPCP1A) - Essential
• ACS Commercial and Domestic Gas
• (Domestic Gas qualifications CCN1, CEN1, CPA1)
• A full driving licence - Essential
• Significant previous experience in a similar service environment
• Must be flexible in their approach to work
• LPG or Oftec Oil tickets - Desirable
• HVAC Control Systems - Desirable
• Previous experience of PFI building maintenance - Desirable
• Legionella Awareness - Desirable
• Experience of BMS systems - Desirable
