Extrusion Operator

Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading Manufacturing company in their search for an Extrusion Operator to work in their leading facility in Telford

The basic pay rate for this role is 8.72 per hour, however, you will be required to work one weekend in every 2, of which the Saturday is paid at T1/2 and the Sunday is paid at double time

This will significantly boost the average pay rate to 10.90 per hour

For the successful Extrusion Operator our client is offering;

1. Temporary - Permanent contract
2. Basic hourly rate of 8.72 per hour, overtime rates available
3. Overtime rates paid at T1/2 Saturday & double time Sunday
4. 12-hour shift pattern, rotating days and nights - 6am to 6pm / 6pm to 6am

The Role - Extrusion Operator:

1. Running of the blown film extrusion machinery, inclusive of pre-production set up and changeovers
2. Ensure all raw materials, scrap and finished goods are accurately documented and recorded
3. Setting and Operating Blow Film Extrusion Machines
4. Understanding Blow Film Extrusion Process
5. Obtaining Raw Materials
6. Hitting Daily KPI Targets
7. Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations
8. Manual Handling

What our client is looking for in an Extrusion Operator;

1. Previous Extrusion Experience (preferably blown film)
2. Knowledge of Blown Film Extrusion Process 
3. Previous food packaging/manufacturing experience

Key skills or similar job titles;

Machine Setter/Machine Operator/Setter Operator/Extruder/Extrusion Setter
