Production Operative

Recruit4staff is proud to represent a Manufacturing and Production company based in Telford for their search for two Production Operators to work a 12 hour Night Shift and a further 3 on a day shift.

You must have a continuous and stable production work history with limited gaps in employment and should have a wealth of Manufacturing experience.

Our client is well established and has been in the local area for a number of years and is going through a period of expansion. They are investing in the site and are improving the facilities and the working environment. 

For the successful Production Operatives, our client is offering

1. 3 on 3 off shifts
2. 21,244 per annum whilst training, should you elect to go on a permanent nights shift this will increase to  26,343 when on nights

The role - Production Operatives:

1. Run the plant to standard operating procedures, which includes start-ups and changeovers
2. Setting and operating between 1-4 machines at a time
3. Manual handling up to 25KG
4. Basic machine maintenance, you may be required to carry out maintenance from a ladder
5. Quality checking the weight and colour of the products
6. Maintain records on an hourly/daily basis, completing gap analysis
7. Ensuring observable standards are achieved for the line
8. Quality checking using gauges and calipers
9. Must be PC literate

What our client is looking for in a Production Operative;

1. Previous Manufacturing/Production experience  - ESSENTIAL
2. Stability in your work history ESSENTIAL
3. Previous plastics experience PREFERRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL
4. Must be flexible to working within different areas of manufacturing depending on the business needs
5. Escalate when and if problems occur
6. Team worker, ability to liaise with all fellow team members
7. Attendance & Punctuality a necessity
