The Role of the Project Manager.

  1. As a project manager it is your responsibility to deliver projects on time and on the budget, by planning and organising resources and people.
  2. You'll need to track work to be completed, set deadlines and delegate tasks to the project team, identifying any potential risks.
  3. Ultimately, you are responsible for completing the project work in line with the plan and will be reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Experience / Skills / Qualification for the Project manager position;

  1. At least 3 year’s experience in managing complex construction projects
  2. Steel structures and or concrete structure construction experience essential OR 3 year’s experience in the fabrication of wood/steel / FRP / Aluminium

The Role – Quantity Surveyor
I. Prepare feasibility studies

Recruit4Staff are proud to represent our client, an internationally renowned construction & civil engineering company in their search for a Bid Manager to work from their head office in Swindon

For the successful Bid Manager our client is offering:

  1. Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum (Negotiable depending on experience & skillset)
  2. Company car or car allowance
  3. 25 days holiday + Bank holidays
  4. Pension with up to 8% contribution from our client
  5. Permanent role

The Role - Bid Manager:

  1. Supporting the support PQQ and Tenders in the Pre-Construction team
  2. Drive and energise the bid team to achieve a successful outcome for each allocated tender.
  3. Continually evaluate winning strategy and direct team and resources to focus on activities which will enhance chance of bid success 
  4. Agree Bid Budget and monitor expenditure.
  5. Manager tender programme
  6. Issue Ops / Commercial / Temp Works / Specialist third party briefs Identify Estimator and Planner requirements where necessary.
  7. Oversee designers Brief in conjunction with Technical Services
  8. Oversee and be involved with tender commercial strategy

What our Client is looking for in a BID Manager:

  1. Previous experience of Bid / Tender management within a civils contractor site background within a relevant sector (Railway, Civil Engineering or Construction etc)
  2. A strong background in the civil engineering sector would be beneficial
  3. Hold qualifications in civil engineering/ construction is desirable
  4. Strong knowledge of the UK construction market Experience of proposals / bidding in highly regulated environments
  5. Experience working for a main contractor
