The Role - Trainee Cathodic Protection Technician:

  • Shadowing a Senior Engineer to fully understand the role
  • Carrying out site surveys and investigation
  • Writing up reports
  • Perform maintenance checks and troubleshooting tests of existing protection systems
  • Project management
  • Collecting & reviewing data to determine condition of structures under evaluation
  • Involvement in installation projects
  • Travelling across the UK to customers, overseas travel maybe involved as the role develops in time
  • This role will involve travelling away during the week - But not on weekends
  • Commissioning activities

What our client is looking for in a Trainee Cathodic Protection Technician:

  • You must be willing to stay away from home as this will involve being away from home most weeks Monday to Thursday/Friday 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Our client is looking for somebody with a Qualification in either - Mechanical Engineering / Electrical 
  • Understanding of CAD software
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Keen to learn, this position will be working closely with a more experienced Engineer
  • UK Driving Licence - Essential
  • Passport - Essential

The Role of the Machine Operator;

  • Working in a busy Manufacturing environment

For the successful Flexographic Printer our client is offering;

  • Temporary ongoing position, which could lead to permanent for the right person
  • Basic hourly rate of £14 per hour, this could increase after Probation period
  • Overtime rates paid at x1.5 for working Saturdays, and Double Time for Sundays
  • Working on a Panama Shift which is on a 2 weekly rotating pattern - 4 days 1 week, 3 days the next week, 4 nights 1 weeks, 3 nights the next, 7am-7pm & 7pm-7am

The Role – Flexographic Printer:

  • Ensure the machine is Set up correctly, operate and maintain a Flexographic Printing Press
  • Mixing of inks
  • Adjusting the speed of the Presses
  • Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to
  • Monitor the SAP computer system to ensure the machine plan is followed
  • Read and follow instructions along with other data available to ensure the machine is fed with the correct materials
  • Maintain good housekeeping and effective planning to ensure the machine does not stand due to lack of forward planning
  • Ensure materials are at the machine and readily available
  • Complete all documentation as required and communicate using the shift handover book together with verbal communication when taking over and handing over the shift
  • Follow procedures and tasks that have been given out by the full time staff
  • Report all machine faults as they occur
  • Carry out ad hoc tasks as and when required by the Management

What our client is looking for in a Flexographic Printer:

  • You MUST have experience within Flexographic Printing
  • Able to take accountability
  • Able to run & set the machine up to match certain jobs
