Recruit4staff are representing a well-established fabrication & engineering business in their search for a Sheet Metal Worker to work in Crewe

Job Details:

  • Pay: Up to £17.42 per hour
  • Hours of Work: 7:45am to 4:45pm Monday to Thursday, 7:45am to 12:45pm Friday (39 hours per week)
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Benefits: Early Finish Fridays, Pension, Free Parking, Flexible holiday bookings (Based on hours not days)
Job Role: As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will be responsible for manufacturing fabricated metal parts and assemblies using a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. The Sheet Metal Worker will set and operate workshop machinery such as a brake press to bend and form metal in line with engineering drawings, while also carrying out finishing processes including linishing, deburring, grinding, and polishing to a high standard.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working as a Sheet Metal Worker with sheet metal/thin gauge steel
  • Strong background in metal bending and forming
  • Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
  • Experience operating a brake press machine

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • City & Guilds or NVQ in Sheet Metal work, Fabrication, or similar
  • Welding experience (MIG or TIG)
  • Previous experience in a similar Sheet Metal Worker environment
