Recruit4staff are representing an established  manufacturing business in their search for a Fabricator to work in Ellesmere Port

Job Details:

  • Pay: £14.00 per hour
  • Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm (39 hours per week)
  • Overtime is available and paid at x1.5 of basic pay
  • Duration: Temp to Perm
Job Role: The Fabricator will be involved in the refurbishment and conversion of shipping containers into cold storage units. Working from customer specifications and engineering drawings, duties will include fabricating steel components using workshop machinery such as press brakes, bandsaws and guillotines. This Fabricator position will also involve MIG welding, mechanical assembly, sealing, painting and carrying out quality inspections on completed work.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a Fabricator or within a similar steel fabrication environment
  • Experience fabricating steel products
  • Confident using workshop machinery
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
  • Physically fit and capable of completing manual handling tasks
  • City & Guilds qualification in Fabrication, an engineering discipline, or equivalent

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • MIG welding course or relevant welding training
  • FLT licence
