What our client is offering for a successful TIG Welder

  • Up to £14.50 per hour (PAYE) (Depending on skillset & experience)
  • Working hours: Monday to Thursday 7:15am - 5pm
  • Temp to perm opportunity
  • Overtime at x1.3 & x1.5 rates

 The Role - TIG Welder

  • TIG welding on stainless steel
  • Stainless steel welding between 1mm to 4mm gauges
  • Minor fabrication work
  • Working from drawings
  • Making containers, tanks, and water heaters

What our client is looking for in a TIG Welder

  • NVQ/C&G in Fabrication & Welding - BENEFICIAL
  • Previous experience in TIG welding - ESSENTIAL
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings
  • Coded in TIG welding BENEFICIAL

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established engineering business in their search for a Semi-skilled Workshop Operative to work in St Helens

Job Details:

  • Pay: £14.35 per hour (Overtime paid at x1.5 of basic Monday–Saturday, x2 of basic on Sundays)
  • Hours of Work: 38 hours per week – Monday to Thursday, 8am–4:30pm, Friday 8am–2pm
  • Duration: Permanent

Job Role: As a Semi-skilled Workshop Operative, you will support various operations within a busy fabrication workshop. Duties include assisting Fabricator Welders, working with machinery such as guillotines, hydro form, press brake, and pillar drills, as well as painting and cleaning assembled parts. You will also be responsible for using the company van to pick up and deliver parts, and ensuring the workshop is kept safe, clean, and well maintained.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Full Driving Licence
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Experienced in setting & operating machinery
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling work

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • C&G/NVQ in a mechanical engineering discipline
  • Previous experience of steel fabrication work
  • Experience of MIG or TIG welding
Additional Information
  • PPE provided (Overalls, T-shirts, Jumpers, £35 Safety Boots voucher)

Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading Manufacturing company in their search for a Welder to work in their leading facility in Telford

The hiring manager would prefer someone who can do both MIG & TIG welding, but they are prepared to take someone who can do just MIG Welding.

For the successful Welder our client is offering; 

  • Starting pay rate of £15.00 per hour for days and £14.50 + 1.33% shift allowance for final 9 hours (£19.28 per hour)
  • Day Shifts are 7:30am - 16:15pm - Monday to Thursday and 7:30am- 13:30pm -Friday's
  • Night Shifts are 16:30pm- 05:00am - Monday to Thursday- 49 hours per week
  • Temporary - Permanent position
