Design Manager

Recruit4Staff are proud to represent their client, an internationally renowned construction & civil engineering company in their search for a Design Manager to work on their newly awarded contract in the Deeside 

For the successful Design Manager our client is offering:

• Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 (Negotiable depending on experience & skillset)
• Hybrid working - 3 days in office 8am - 5pm 
• Permanent Position 
• Company Pension
• Paid work events twice per year
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

The Role - Design Manager

• Managing a team of design draughtsman including their training & development
• Attending design meetings with clients
• Design and detail bespoke cladding, façade and building envelope solutions
• To take projects from cradle to grave, including preparation, client approval, full manufacture drawings and schedules for the issue to production.
• To communicate effectively and build relationships with Architects and Main-Contractors.

What our client is looking for in a Design Manager

• Previous experience in the cladding industry ESSENTIAL
• Previous experience in the supervision / management role ESSENTIAL
• Design related qualifications (C&G/ NVQ/ HNC/ HND etc.) ESSENTIAL
• Knowledge of systems such as Kingspan, Euroclad, Firth Steel, and TATA Steel, including built-up roof and wall systems. ESSENTIAL
• Experience with building envelope solutions (cladding, building envelope, fabrication), particularly that of those on 'Industrial Shed' and other 'Commercial' type projects ESSENTIAL
