For the successful Mechanical Design Manager our client is offering:

• Salary Negotiable
• Monday to Friday 37.5 hours (0900 - 1730, with some flexibility)
• Permanent 
• Benefits:  24 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays, BUPA, Company Pension

The role - Mechanical Design Manager

• Setting up the contract design process, deliverables and management with the design engineers and principle mechanical engineer
• Monitoring design progress and overviewing design and drawing production with design engineers and principle design engineer
• Monitoring estimation design against actual design
• Liaise with Commercial Director and other Directors/Managers regarding future tender opportunities 
• Production of 2 stage tender reports and submissions developing the correct approach
• Management of tender process and deliverables with Commercial Director and estimators

What our client is looking for in an Mechanical Design Manager

• Mechanical Design Experience - ESSENTIAL
• Management of people and process experience - ESSENTIAL
• Previous experience working on mechanical and electrical projects off-site 
• Estimating & Tender Knowledge - ESSENTIAL  
• Design Software Knowledge (AutoCAD, Solidworks and similar) - ESSENTIAL
