Powder Coater

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established metal fabrication manufacturing company in their search for a Powder Coater to work in Widnes.

Job Details:

• Pay: £14.73 per hour , OT paid at £22.10 per hr
• Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm
• Duration: Temp to Perm
• Benefits: Permanent position available after the qualifying period, generous holiday entitlement after the qualifying period

Job Role: As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for preparing metal components ready for coating and producing high-quality finished products. The Powder Coater role involves applying chemicals to metal surfaces, degreasing, cleaning and sanding work surfaces, marking up and priming components, operating spray booths, powder coating equipment, machinery and curing ovens, and carrying out quality inspections to ensure finished materials meet company standards.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Previous Powder Coater and metal preparation experience.
• Experience preparing metal surfaces for powder coating.
• Ability to maintain high quality standards.

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Marking up, masking, sanding and grinding experience.
• Experience working with cleaning solvents.
• Paint finishing experience.
• Experience operating spray booths.
