Recruit4staff are representing a well-established sheet metal fabrication business in their search for a Sheet Metal Worker to work in Widnes

Job Details:

Pay: £17.08 per hour
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7:00 am 4:30 pm, Friday 7.30 am - noon.
Duration: Temp to Perm (initial 3 months)
25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Job Role: The Sheetmetal Worker role will involve bench work assembling mild steel into boxes and enclosures. Duties include reading complex engineering drawings, bolting, cutting and folding metal, and fettling and finishing edges to the required standards in readiness for delivery. This sheet metal worker position suits someone with prior sheet-metal fabrication experience and a strong eye for detail. Role will involve using Pillar drills, MAG drills, and manual propane cutting

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings for a sheet metal worker role
Previous sheet metal fabrication experience
Experience assembling mild steel components and enclosures

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Welding and Fabrication, metalworking or similar

Additional Information

Early finish on Fridays
Permanent role available following a successful temporary period
