Shift Electrician

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established manufacturer of concrete building products in their search for a Shift Electrician to work in Widnes

Job Role: Working as a Shift Electrician, you will be responding to breakdowns within the plant, fault finding, problem solving and repairing heavy production equipment. You will follow a planned preventative maintenance program on electrical plant equipment and components, while also carrying out facilities maintenance checks such as lighting and appliances. You will also be responsible for maintaining the electrical spares storage area.

Job Details:

• Pay: £45,000 per annum
• Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 6-2 / 2-10 rotating
• Duration: Permanent
• Overtime Rules: X1.5
• Benefits: 22 days holiday plus bank holidays

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Experience of working in a manufacturing / production environment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings
• Fault finding on PLCs and automated electrical systems
• Experience working with 3 phase motors, inverter drives and control systems

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Siemens PLC controls experience
• Experience of working at height

Essential Qualifications:

• Electrical qualifications City & Guilds L3 and above or equivalent qualification
