Recruit4staff are representing a leading packaging manufacturer business in their search for a Machine Operative to work in St Ives

Job Details:

  • Pay: £33,990 – £40,170 per annum (dependent on experience and skill level) 
  • Hours of Work: 4-day working week, 40 hours per week, double rotation (W1&2 6 am - 4 pm / W3&4 3:45 pm - 1:45 am)
  • Duration: Permanent

Job Role: The Machine Operative will be responsible for setting and operating glueing machinery across a variety of carton styles, ensuring high-quality production standards are consistently met. The Machine Operative will work in a fast-paced environment, troubleshooting issues and maintaining efficiency while meeting tight deadlines. As a Machine Operative, you will also lead a small team, reporting directly to the Glueing Manager, and take pride in producing premium carton products.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Machine Operative or glueing operator with knowledge of multiple carton styles
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machinery or production issues efficiently

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • Experience working with high-end or luxury cartons as a Machine Operative
