Joiner / Carpenter

Recruit4staff are representing a leading manufacturing company in their search for a Joiner / Carpenter to work in Liverpool.

Job Details:

• Pay: £13.50 - £15.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
• Overtime paid at x1.5
• Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7:15am - 3:45pm
• Duration: Temp to Perm

Job Role: As a Joiner / Carpenter, you will support the manufacture of high-quality modular and portable accommodation units. The role involves working with wood, metal and plastics to assemble and fit out modular buildings while following production schedules and technical drawings. They will prepare materials and components, carry out trimming and finishing work, install fixtures and fittings, fitting door frames & stud walls, handing doors, assisting other trades, operate hand and power tools safely, complete quality inspections and ensure all work meets company standards.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Joiner / Carpenter or within modular manufacturing, construction, building services or a similar environment.
• Knowledge of carpentry, joinery and  general interior fitting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Competent in the safe use of hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
• Good understanding of health and safety within a workshop or manufacturing environment.

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) in Joinery/carpentry or a related construction trade.
• Forklift licence.
• Experienced with plumbing works & electrical fitting work
