Press Brake Setter/Operator

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established materials handling solutions manufacturer in their search for a Press Brake Setter/Operator to work in Liverpool

Job Role: The Press Brake Setter/Operator will be setting and operating a Trumpf controlled systems, working with sheet metal in a manufacturing environmnent with materials ranging from 1.0mm to 6.0mm thickness and parts up to 4 metres in length, interpretation of drawings for programming of CNC press brake to enable the fabrication of folded components, taking responsibility for quality, quantity and inspection of work performed, constructing detailed multi-fold programs to develop parts to match drawings, operate press brake on existent programs, continuous improving them

Job Details:

• Starting Pay: up to £15.06 per hour (£29,367 per annum)
• Hours of Work: Day shift: Monday - Thursday – 08:00-16:30, Friday 07:00 – 12:30
• Duration: Temp to Perm position
• Benefits: Free Parking, Pension, Weekly Pay

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven setting & operating experience of a CNC press brake
• Ability to interpret and work from a technical drawing
• Experienced using various measuring equipment

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Experience working with Trumpf controlled systems, or have skills on other machinery which can be transferable to Trumpf (Amada, Bistronic, LVD, Edward Pearson)
• Ability to programme CNC machines
• Offline programming experience

Essential Qualifications:

• City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or similar course

Desired Qualifications:

• Time served CNC Machinist
• CAD/CAM programming course
