Recruit4staff are representing an established engineering business in their search for a Fabricator Welder to work in Llandrindod Wells

Job Details:

  • Pay: £37,024 per annum
  • Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 07:00–16:30 and Friday 07:00–16:00 (44.5 hours per week)
  • Duration: Permanent

Job Role: As a Fabricator Welder, you will fabricate and weld steel components in accordance with technical and engineering drawings. The role involves accurately cutting, preparing, positioning and welding steel while ensuring completed beams are safely prepared for onward movement to the paint shop. The Fabricator Welder will also maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

Key responsibilities for the Fabricator Welder will include accurately cutting steel using a cutting torch, preparing steel surfaces using a grinder, safely lifting and positioning steel girders for welding, and removing completed steel beams from the workbench. You will also ensure finished beams are correctly positioned for collection by forklift or gantry crane.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • The Fabricator Welder must have proven experience of both welding and fabrication gained within a similar role
  • Ability to work accurately from engineering and technical drawings
  • Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment
  • A strong awareness of safe working practices when handling and positioning steel
