Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Recruit4staff are representing a market-leading FMCG manufacturing business in their search for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work in Montgomery.

Job Details:

• Pay: £42,000 Per Annum
• Hours of Work: Double Day Shifts (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm)
• Duration: Permanent

Job Role: As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining high-speed filling lines and associated production equipment within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will carry out planned preventative maintenance, respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime. Working alongside Production, Quality, Laboratory teams and contractors, you will ensure all engineering activities are completed safely while supporting continuous improvement initiatives, reducing costs and maintaining high engineering standards.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years' proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.
• Previous engineering experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or HNC / NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 2 & 3.
• Strong engineering competence on production plant and auxiliary equipment.
• Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of safe systems of work and permit-to-work procedures.

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Electrical automation and PLC fault-finding experience.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Experience working on high-speed filling lines.
• Continuous improvement experience.
• Ability to self-manage and prioritise workload.
