For the successful Production Operative, our client is offering: 

  • Pay rate of £12.87 PH
  • Opportunity for overtime paid up to £23.48P/H
  •  6am to 2pm Mon - Thurs, 6am - 12pm on Friday. 
  • Temporary to Permanent opportunities for the right candidates
  • Immediate starts available
  • Ongoing training provided

The Role of a Production Operative involves:

  • Press operating
  • Mechanical assembly duties
  • Using hand and power tools
  • Stacking finished goods ready for dispatch
  • Quality checking finished products

What our client is looking for in a Production Operative

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment - ESSENTIAL
  • Experience of working with hand and power tools - PREFERRED
  • Ability to carry out manual handling duties
  • Must have access to your own transport due to the location of the site

We have the following shifts patterns available:

  • Monday to Friday 6am-6pm -  £40,843.40 per annum
  • Monday to Thursday 6pm-6am- £35,784.32 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm -£32,628.70 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 6am-2pm/2pm10pm -31,096.00 per annum

The Role -Production  Operative:

  • Responsible for all aspects of trailer manufacturing for Livestock product.
  • Working in a production environment using hand and power tools
  • Building trailers on the assembly line according to drawings, instructions, or schematics.
  • Inspecting assembled products for any faults or defects
  • Stopping the assembly line and halting production if machinery fails or a major defect is detected
  • Following established safety and efficiency procedures to ensure that operations run smoothly.

  • Previous experience of working in a production environment using hand and power tools 
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, target driven environment
  • Physically fit and able to complete manual handling tasks

Job Role: The Production Operative position will involve working on a flow line producing food products, packing products ready to be distributed, and mixing and weighing raw materials, ensuring efficiency and quality in line with industry standards.

Job Details:

  • Pay: £12.23 to £14.33 Depending on shift
  • Hours of Work:
    • Mornings: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:00 (£12.23/hour)
    • Afternoons: Monday to Friday, 14:00 – 22:00 (£13.28/hour)
    • Nights: Sunday to Thursday, 22:00 – 06:00 (£14.33/hour)
  • Duration: Temp to perm
  • Overtime Rules: Overtime paid after 40 hours.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing company.
