Recruit4staff are representing a leading packaging manufacturer business in their search for a Trainee Printer to work in Rossendale

Job Details:

  • Pay: £13.22 per hour
  • Hours of Work: Double-day shift pattern. Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm / Monday to Thursday 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm / Friday 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm
  • Duration: Temp to Perm
  • Benefits: Training and development opportunities, generous holiday entitlement once permanent
Job Role: As a Trainee Printer, you will learn all aspects of the pre-press and print process within a busy manufacturing environment. Duties include reading and understanding job schedules, plate issue and checking, print cylinder set-up, plate mounting, ink mixing, quality control documentation, loading inks and board, setting print cylinders, auto register set-up, and cutting forme set-up. The successful Trainee Printer will receive full training across multiple departments while developing specialist print production skills.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Previous exposure to a manufacturing environment
  • Positive attitude towards work and a willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to work across multiple departments
  • Keen interest in developing within the role of Trainee Printer

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • Previous experience within the print and/or packaging industry
  • Experience that would support progression as a Trainee Printer
Additional Information
  • Opportunities are available for more experienced operators at a higher rate of pay
