Recruit4staff are representing a well-established manufacturing business in their search for a Production Operative to work in Bootle

Job Role: Operating and monitoring extrusion machinery, removing scrap, and separating products based on grade or number as they come off the line. Completing hourly check sheets and conducting visual inspections to ensure quality.

Job Details:

  • Pay: £12.60 - £13.10 per hour rising to £14.20 after qualifying period
  • Hours of Work: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off (7-7)
  • Duration: Temp to perm
  • Overtime: Paid at 1.5x for extra shifts

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous production and manufacturing experience

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • In-date FLT licence
  • Previous experience with extrusion machinery

Job Details:

  • Pay: £14.35 per hour (Overtime paid at x1.5 of basic Monday–Saturday, x2 of basic on Sundays)
  • Hours of Work: 38 hours per week – Monday to Thursday, 8am–4:30pm, Friday 8am–2pm
  • Duration: Permanent

Job Role: As a Semi-skilled Workshop Operative, you will support various operations within a busy fabrication workshop. Duties include assisting Fabricator Welders, working with machinery such as guillotines, hydro form, press brake, and pillar drills, as well as painting and cleaning assembled parts. You will also be responsible for using the company van to pick up and deliver parts, and ensuring the workshop is kept safe, clean, and well maintained.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Full Driving Licence
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Experienced in setting & operating machinery
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling work

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • C&G/NVQ in a mechanical engineering discipline
  • Previous experience of steel fabrication work
  • Experience of MIG or TIG welding
