Recruit4staff are representing a leading FMCG manufacturing business in their search for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work in Oswestry

Job Details:

  • Pay: Up to £57,000 per annum
  • Hours of Work: 3 on 3 off (Rotating Days & Nights, 6am–6pm / 6pm–6am)
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Benefits: Annual salary review (3%–5% increase), Enhanced pension, 24 days holiday
Job Role: The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will lead a team of multi-skilled and single-skilled engineers within a fast-paced FMCG environment. As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for delegating workload, responding promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime, and carrying out planned preventative maintenance across site. This Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer position will also involve diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults efficiently, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring high engineering standards are maintained at all times.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within an FMCG or manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills required for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
  • Time Served Apprenticeship (Mechanical or Electrical)
  • City & Guilds Level 3 (Mechanical or Electrical)
  • HNC or BTEC Level 3 (Mechanical or Electrical)

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • 17th/18th Edition
  • HACCP / Food Safety knowledge
  • Degree qualified in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), ideally supporting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer team within a food environment
