Job Details:

  • Pay: £31,400 per annum
  • Hours of Work: 3 on 3 off, rotating days and nights, 6am to 6pm
  • Duration: Permanent

Job Role: The Warehouse Operative will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods accurately and efficiently. You will operate automated palletising machinery and oversee the movement of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) to ensure safe and timely transport of goods. Maintaining accurate inventory records, complying with health & safety procedures, and supporting housekeeping and team objectives are also key parts of this Warehouse Operative role.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Counterbalance FLT Licence
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Basic IT skills

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
  • Familiarity with automated palletising systems and AGV technology (training provided)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy

For the successful Warehouse Operative our client is offering:

  • Up to £13.50 per hour depending on experience
  • Days based role with early finishes on Fridays 8am - 5pm with a 3:30pm finish on Fridays
  • Temporary role for approximately 4 months, although this could change subject to business needs
  • Free parking
  • Immediate interview / start

The Role - Warehouse Operative:

  • Loading and unloading deliveries 
  • Liaising with departments internally
  • Use of the inhouse computer systems
  • Booking goods out on the internal system, so computer skills are a must
  • Arranging transport
  • Picking of products
  • Packing
  • Use of the banding machine
  • Wrapping of pallets
  • Keeping the Stores/Warehouse clean, tidy and organised

What our client is looking for in a Stores Person:

  • FLT Counterbalance Licence - HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS
  • Able to use in house computer system to book goods out
  • Engineering knowledge would be highly advantageous
  • Immediately available
