Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading Waste / Recycling company in their search for an Operations Manager to work based at their depot in Avonmouth.

For the successful Operations Manager our client is offering:

  • £35,000 - £40,000 Per Annum DOE
  • Days role, 6 am - 3 pm, (Flexibility may be required) Saturdays and Bank Holidays on a rota
  • Permanent position
  • Full-time permanent

The role - Operations Manager:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day running and organisation of a fleet of trade waste collection vehicles and the operation of the transfer facility ensuring continuity and day-to-day running of all operations on the site
  • This is a role that will grow as the depot develops to its full potential and commercial presence in the area is strengthened
  • Manage daily operations at the depot, responsible for vehicles, staffing, operational performance, route efficiency, route planning, and customer service levels.
  • Ensuring that the site is operated in accordance with legislation, regulatory compliance, operational best practice and all tasks undertaken adhere to site rules.

What our client is looking for in a Operations Manager:

  • Proven operational management experience in transport/logistics - ESSENTIAL
  • Must possess a good understanding of cost control and P&L experience
  • Previous experience with route planning - DESIRABLE 
  • Knowledge of waste management legislation - DESIRABLE 
  • Full driving license and flexibility to travel for meetings - ESSENTIAL
  • Flexible approach to working hours to suit business needs when required
