Production Operative

Recruit4Staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading food manufacturing company in their search for a Food Production Operative to work in their leading facility in Telford.

For the successful Food Production Operative our client is offering:

£12.71 per hour
Rotating 5:30-1:30/2-10 shifts Monday to Friday
Temporary holiday cover - 2 weeks from 1st September
Immediate starts available for the right candidates
Overtime available and paid at T1/2

The Role - Food Production Operative;

Packing
Palletising
Unboxing products
Heavy lifting up to 20kg
Quality checking
Performing safety start-up checks for machinery and your work area.
Following food and hygiene regulations on site
Working with a team of around 6-8 people
Supervise the correct running of the various machines ensuring quality finished product.
Working within an ambient temperature production environment (between 3-5o'c)

What our client is looking for in a Food Production Operative;

Previous experience within the food manufacturing industry - ESSENTIAL
Must have picking/ packing/ palletising experience- ESSENTIAL
Experience on bag label machines- DESIRABLE
Must be comfortable with heavy lifting up to 20KG -ESSENTIAL
Must be available to cover the full 2 week period

The role: Production Operative:

Ensuring work area is clean and orderly
Flexibly assisting the process operating team on the main production line, as and when required
Manual handling
Unpacking food from outer packaging in a timely and efficient manner
Be flexible to work on a shift if required

What our client is looking for in a Production Operative:

Proven experience in a fast paced and/or food based production - Preferred
FLT Licence - Preferred
Able to work from using own initiative
Methodical approach to work
Physically fit - ESSENTIAL
Due to the location, you must be able to drive or live within walking distance- ESSENTIAL
Good organisation skills
