For the successful Toolmaker our client is offering:

Competitive salary - £28,150 plus 17% shift allowance - £32,935.50 in total per annum.
Rotating Mornings & Afternoons - 6am-2pm with a 1pm finish on Fridays & 2pm-10pm and 1pm-8pm on Fridays
Permanent position within a well known Manufacturing business

The Role - Tool Maker:

Carrying out scheduled/non scheduled tool overhauls in line with departmental procedures
Carrying out basic in house tooling repairs
Provide Engineering support to a specific department
Carrying out daily safety checks on tool room machinery and completing relevant paperwork
Use of manual machines to include Lathes/Millers/Surface Grinder
Use of measurement equipment

What our client is looking for in a Tool Maker:

In depth knowledge of Manual Turning & Milling / Surface Grinding
Experienced in using Manual Machinery
Able to read from drawings and work to different tolerances
Good understanding of tool room processes
Strong work ethic and possess a flexible working attitude
