Recruit4staff are representing an established commercial fleet and plant equipment business in their search for a Senior HGV Mechanic to work in North Liverpool

Job Details:

  • Pay: Up to £59,800 per annum
  • Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 6:30 am – 5:00 pm
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Benefits: Company pension scheme and 28 days' holiday
Job Role: As a Senior HGV Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs across a fleet of HGVs, tippers and plant equipment. The role involves diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults, preparing vehicles for MOT testing and ensuring fleet vehicles are maintained to a high standard. You will also provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Previous experience servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs.
  • Practical experience of mechanical maintenance and fault diagnosis.
  • Ability to work independently and support junior team members.
  • A strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and workshop safety procedures.
  • The ability to carry out Senior HGV Mechanic responsibilities in a busy fleet maintenance environment.

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an equivalent qualification.
  • HGV Class 1 or Class 2 driving licence.
  • Previous experience working with tippers or plant equipment.
  • Experience in a Senior HGV Mechanic or similar senior workshop position.
