FLT Driver

• £13.58 per hour
• 4 on 4 off - 2 days 2 nights (7-7)
• Temporary to Permanent position
• Immediate inductions available

• To operate forklift trucks to transport finished products and packaging in a safe & controlled manner, ensuring there is no damage to the materials
• Move finished products from production areas to internal / external warehouses
• Provide quality inspection on all pallets to be moved
• Supply the production department with the packaging requirements and pallets, return any foreign pallets and excessive packaging materials to stock
• Removal of packaging from finished goods pallet to allow them to be fed onto the lines
• Complete daily FLT safety checks & record in record book

• In-date FLT Counterbalance License (in-house considered if proof can be shown) - ESSENTIAL
• Pass Drug & Alcohol Test - ESSENTIAL
• Punctuality & Reliability
• Professional attitude to work
• Experience within a fast paced warehousing environment - ADVANTAGEOUS
• Familiarity of Health and Safety policy procedures & Hygiene rules and procedures

For the successful Stores Operative, our client is offering:

• A salary of £29,606.85 p/a (£14.46 per hour)
• Fixed term contract – 6 months
• Night shift – 4 on 4 off, 17:45pm – 06:00am

The Role – Stores Operative:

• Ensure the smooth running of the stores, yard, and FLT operations
• Manage orders and deliveries to support continuous bakery production
• Highlight supply chain issues to the Bakery Manager promptly
• Accurately perform stock counts and contribute to company stocktakes
• Work safely and efficiently as part of a night shift team

What our client is looking for in a Stores Operative:

• Previous experience in a similar stores or warehouse role – ESSENTIAL
• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence – ESSENTIAL
• Ability to manage physically demanding tasks and maintain attention to detail
• Additional FLT licences (e.g., Reach Truck, Sky Jack) – DESIRABLE
• Experience in fast-moving factory or food production environments – DESIRABLE

The Role - Warehouse FLT Operative:

• Picking and packing parts for bulk distribution and courier delivery.
• Auditing bulk orders prior to departure. 
• Completing stock checks and flagging up any inaccuracies.
• Assisting the dispatch team with the loading of trailers. 
• Supporting the goods in team with adding new stock to correct shelf locations.
• Ensuring the safe dispatch of fragile products and providing feedback to improving packaging solutions.
• Ensuring any stock movements are recorded correctly.

What we are looking for in a Warehouse FLT Operative:

• Previous experience in similar warehouse role - ESSENTIAL
• Counterbalance FLT License - ESSENTIAL
• Bendi License - ADVANTAGE 
• Physically fit and able to complete manual handling tasks
• The ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to work well as part of a team.
