Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading packaging manufacturer, in their search for an Health and Safety Coordinator to be based at their site in Wrexham 

What our client is offering for the successful Health and Safety Coordinator:

  • Starting salary of £35,000 - £42,000 per annum (DOE)

The Role – Health and Safety Coordinator:

  • Support the business in ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental responsibilities are understood and carried out daily.
  • Work with the site Safety Excellence System and Environmental Excellence System, maintaining system processes.
  • Develop action plans and track progress in line with the company's HSE strategy.
  • Assist the management team in conducting in-depth learning events for incidents and implementing preventative control measures.
  • Work collaboratively with operations, quality, and HR teams to drive a positive safety culture.
  • Organise and lead regular Safety Committee Meetings.
  • Identify compliance requirements and ensure risk assessments and statutory safety measures are in place.
  • Support the use of the company’s Health & Safety reporting portal for tracking concerns, incidents, and metrics.
  • Coordinate and support external audits for accreditations such as ISO14001 and ISO45001.

What our client is looking for in an Health and Safety Coordinator:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards) – ESSENTIAL
  • Environmental training such as AIEMA (or willing to work towards) – DESIRABLE
  • Experience in a similar HSE role, ideally within a manufacturing environment – ESSENTIAL
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel – ESSENTIAL
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy in data interpretation.
  • Strong team player who can also work independently.
