Recruit4staff are representing a well-established manufacturing business in their search for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanically Bias) to work in Wrexham

Job Details:

  • Pay: £48,683 (Annual salary with additional discretionary bonus)
  • Hours of Work: 42 hours per week on average, 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12-hour shifts, including on-call rota and nights)
  • Duration: Permanent

Job Role: The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanically Bias) will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of plant maintenance and repair to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Duties include minimising downtime, maximising output, and completing planned preventative maintenance schedules. The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanically Bias) will work closely with the mill team to resolve breakdowns and drive continuous improvement across the site.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

The successful Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanically Bias) will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar maintenance role
  • Multi-skilled capability across mechanical and electrical disciplines
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Minimum 17th Edition certification

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

A strong Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanically Bias) candidate may also have:

  • Experience working within strict safety and quality procedures and KPI’s
  • Knowledge of Star Delta systems and PLCs
  • Understanding of safe isolation processes
Additional Information
  • The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanically Bias) will be part of an on-call rota including night work
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate maintenance records to ensure legal compliance
