Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading company in their search for an Automation Engineer to work in their leading facility in Droitwich.

For the successful Automation Engineer our client is offering:

  • Up to £60,000 per annum (DOE) 
  • Monday to Friday, Days role, 9 am - 5 pm 
  • Permanent position
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays (with the ability to buy or sell up to 5 more)
  • Annual bonus of up to 10% 
  • Benefits package including life assurance and health care cover
  • Pension matched up to 8% 
The Role - Automation Engineer:
  • Ensuring project budgets are closely controlled at all times from concept to closure.
  • Delivery of projects on time, to the required quality, and to the designed specification
  • Technical support to projects team and for site-delivered projects.
  • Rollouts of complex automation projects
  • Design and delivery of less complex automation projects.
  • Ensure compliance on central projects and provide practical feedback on the current standards.
  • Identifying obsolescence issues and improvements and creating centrally delivered Capex submissions.
  • Provide training and technical advice to colleagues.
  • Specialist automation support to site CI activities, which necessitate significant changes beyond the capabilities of ASEs
  • Reactive support for operational automation issues within a clear escalation process
  • Understand the concept of Lowest Total Cost of Ownership and design and deliver systems accordingly
  • Play an active part in continuously improving systems 
  • Support  improvement activities/events within engineering-owned areas
What our client is looking for in an Automation Engineer:
  • Must be proficient in SCADA & Allen-Bradley PLCs - ESSENTIAL 
  • Experience within an FMCG environment - ESSENTIAL 
  • Experience with Siemens & Mitsubishi PLCs - DESIRABLE
  • Experienced with SQL databases and Project Management 
  • Previous experience in a similar role 
  • Willingness to travel over the UK to assist with projects when needed - ESSENTIAL
