Recruit4Staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading animal feed manufacturing company in their search for an Electrical Engineer to work in their leading facility in Oswestry.

For the successful Electrical Engineer, our client is offering:

Starting salary of circa £40,000 DOE
Beginning on Monday to Friday Days (During probation) before moving to 4 on 4 off (2D/2N) 7-7
Permanent position
Training/development opportunities
Free parking on site

The Role - Electrical Engineer:

Maintain and repair PLC-controlled switchgear, inverter-controlled drives, solenoid, and limit switching systems.
Interpret and work with schematical wiring diagrams.
Repair and replace machinery, including conveyors, elevators, compressors, hammermill grinders, and pellet presses.
Work with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
Perform fabrication tasks such as welding and assist with machine installations (Training/Support provided)
Accurately record all maintenance activities to meet legal requirements.
Adhere to company health and safety policies.

What our client is looking for in a Electrical Engineer:

Electrical Qualification: 18th Edition Electrical Installation certification - ESSENTIAL
Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating the ability to implement both short-term and long-term solutions in a high-speed environment
Some mechanical experience preferred with on the job training given where needed - DESIRABLE
Computer literate, particularly regarding Microsoft Office and spreadsheets.
Formal training relevant to maintenance and manufacturing environments - ESSENTIAL

NVQ in mechanical engineering (or equivalent)- ESSENTIAL
Must be Multi-Skilled (Mechanical bias) - ESSENTIAL
Proven experience working in a food manufacturing environment - ESSENTIAL
Experience in working on food production machinery
Basic understanding of electrical safety and fault finding
Excellent problem-solving skills
Previous experience with PLCs Siemens/Alun Bradley - BENEFICIAL
