Recruit4staff are representing a leading agricultural manufacturing business in their search for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work in Oswestry.

Job Details:

  • Pay: Up to £50,000 per annum
  • Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off (2 Days & 2 Nights - 7am to 7pm) or Days Monday - Friday
  • Duration: Permanent

Job Role: As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will work within a small engineering team reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure the efficient operation of the manufacturing plant. The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will diagnose faults, repair and maintain PLC-controlled equipment, conveyors, elevators, compressors, hammermill grinders, pellet presses and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. You will also undertake fabrication, welding, machinery installation and ensure all maintenance activities are accurately recorded while working safely at all times.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Previous experience within a similar maintenance role.
  • Time served electrically biased engineer or equivalent qualification.
  • 18th Edition qualification.
  • Good understanding of schematic wiring diagrams.
  • Mechanical engineering experience.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working on PLC-controlled switchgear, inverter-controlled drives, solenoid and limit switching.
  • Experience maintaining conveyors, elevators, compressors, hammermill grinders, pellet presses and pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
  • Ability to undertake fabrication work including welding and machinery installation.

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office and spreadsheets.
  • Formal training relevant to maintenance and manufacturing environments.
