For the successful General Operative, our client is offering;

£12.21 per hour
Monday to Friday 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Temp- Perm position
Full-time hours
Training available once perm with the ability to earn an extra 25p per skill you learn

The Role - General Operative:

Ensuring all booms are free from wire and material is vented correctly prior to loading
Ensuring the correct amount of wire is used for the weight of the material to be hung when loading
Ensuring all jigs and booms are loaded to their maximum capacity
Ensure the finished product is cut from the boom using cutters.
Using a hand grinder to remove any zinc that remains on the product
Stacking the material ready for quality checking and despatch
Using a banding machine to pack material
Identify different customers’ products
Understand it is necessary to load booms as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to
maximise the throughput of the plant
Undertake ad-hoc duties as required
Undertake any in-house or off-site training as and when required.

What our client is looking for in a General Operative:

Experience working in a production/ manufacturing environment- ESSENTIAL
Must have safety shoes
Must be happy to do manual handling/ heavy lifting at times

Job Details:

Pay: £14.35 per hour (Overtime paid at x1.5 of basic Monday–Saturday, x2 of basic on Sundays)
Hours of Work: 38 hours per week – Monday to Thursday, 8am–4:30pm, Friday 8am–2pm
Duration: Permanent

Job Role: As a Semi-skilled Workshop Operative, you will support various operations within a busy fabrication workshop. Duties include assisting Fabricator Welders, working with machinery such as guillotines, hydro form, press brake, and pillar drills, as well as painting and cleaning assembled parts. You will also be responsible for using the company van to pick up and deliver parts, and ensuring the workshop is kept safe, clean, and well maintained.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

Full Driving Licence
Experience using hand and power tools
Experienced in setting & operating machinery
Physically fit and capable of manual handling work

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

C&G/NVQ in a mechanical engineering discipline
Previous experience of steel fabrication work
Experience of MIG or TIG welding

The hiring manager would prefer someone who can do both MIG & TIG welding, but they are prepared to take someone who can do just MIG Welding.

For the successful Welder our client is offering;

Starting pay rate of £15.00 per hour for days and £14.50 + 1.33% shift allowance for final 9 hours (£19.28 per hour)
Day Shifts are 7:30am - 16:15pm - Monday to Thursday and 7:30am- 13:30pm -Friday's
Night Shifts are 16:30pm- 05:00am - Monday to Thursday- 49 hours per week
