For the successful HR Supervisor our client is offering;

  1. Permanent position
  2. Day shifts Monday to Thursday, early finish Friday (37.5 hours per week)

The Role of the HR Supervisor;

  1. Supporting the HR Manager with a variety of tasks which will include H&S functions
  2. Oversee and perform the necessary controls and checks of the payroll and ensuring that all year end procedures are completed within legislative time limits.
  3. Ensure correct payroll and Human Resource Management practices are adhered to.
  4. Maintenance of existing HR policies and procedures.
  5. Co-ordination and management for all recruitment processes.
  6. Responsibility for new starter packs and the induction of all new starters to the business, including the induction for Health and Safety and Environmental procedures.
  7. Co-ordination of Occupational Health Service and First Aid provision – arranging Doctor’s referrals, first aid training and medical screening..
  8. Administration of all pension scheme applications and withdrawals.
  9. Maintain information and correspondence for all Employee Liability Claims.
  10. Maintenance of H&S records, competent persons – FLT/First Aid, etc.
  11. Control and maintenance of H&S database to include incidents, accidents and risk assessments
  12. Deal with employee problems; grievances and disciplinary matters.
  13. Preparation and timely submission of monthly HR and KPI reports and Quarterly staff reports to the Corporate HR department and European Management
  14. Notification to the Payroll Administrator of changes to employee terms and conditions.
  15. Monitor attendance and employee turnover and keep Senior Managers advised of the same.
  16. Ensure that procedures relating to training and employee development are adhered to.
  17. Conduct regular HR enquiry sessions at all sites.

i. Practical understanding of payroll calculations, deadlines, and UK legislation and requirements - ESSENTIAL 
ii. Strong numerical abilities and proven experience in MS Office, in particular, Excel
iii. Knowledge of month-end and year-end returns and balancing with the ability to perform manual calculations, as and when required - ESSENTIAL 
iv. Previous experience of working in a multi-frequency payroll environment - DESIRABLE
