For the successful Warehouse Team Leader our client is offering;

The role - Warehouse Team Leader;

  • Supervise a team of warehouse operatives, including shift planning, task allocation, and performance management.
  • Ensure all warehouse activities (goods-in, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns) are completed accurately and on time.
  • Act as the main point of contact for courier collections, ensuring all shipments are clearly documented with reference numbers, destination details, and contact names.
  • Train and mentor new staff, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards and company procedures.
  • Liaise with internal departments (e.g. Internal Sales, Sub Assembly, Quality) to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor stock accuracy and participate in cycle counts and audits.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing health and safety procedures and conducting regular checks.
  • To manage customer returns and supplier non-conformances.
  • To review Warehouse errors and share outcomes with your team to drive improvements.
  • Responsible person on site for Fire wardens and first aid.
  • Key Holder.

What our client is looking for in a Warehouse Team Leader;

  • Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, ideally in a supervisory or team leader role- ESSENTIAL
  • Strong leadership and communication skills- ESSENTIAL
  • Competent in using WMS and Microsoft Office applications- ESSENTIAL 
  • Forklift license- desirable but not essential
  • Good understanding of warehouse processes and health & safety regulations- ESSENTIAL
