Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Experience with Master CAM Software
  • Experience with CNC Machine operation
  • Tooling Materials knowledge
  • Basic troubleshooting and maintenance
  • NVQ level 2/3 in engineering/machining

Job Details:

  • Pay: £16.00 per hour (Negotiable depending on experience)
  • Overtime paid at x1.5
  • Hours of Work: 8:00am – 4:45pm Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 3:00pm Friday (37.5 hours)
  • Duration: Temp to Perm
Job Role: The Welder Fabricator will be responsible for welding and fabricating bespoke steel components within a busy workshop environment. Duties include MIG and TIG welding, working from technical drawings, and using workshop machinery to cut and shape materials. The Welder Fabricator will also be expected to carry out quality checks to ensure all finished products meet required standards. This Welder Fabricator role is ideal for someone who is confident working independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and workmanship.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment as a Welder Fabricator
  • Proven ability in MIG and TIG welding
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong experience in steel fabrication
  • C&G/NVQ or equivalent in Fabrication & Welding

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • Previously coded in MIG or TIG welding
  • Experience within the roller shutter or doors industry
Additional Information
  • Overtime available paid at enhanced rates
  • Working within a well-established and supportive workshop environment

  • Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 07.30 to 15.30
  • Overtime Rules: Paid at x1.5 of basic hours after completing 37.5 hours
  • Duration: Temp to Perm
Job Role: As a Fabricator Welder, you will be responsible for manufacturing various steel products including steel doors using both thin gauge (2-3mm) and heavy gauge mild steel up to 25mm thickness. The role involves MIG welding, fabrication from drawings to tight tolerances, and maintaining a high standard of work. You will also support other departments as needed based on production demands.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to MIG weld
  • Experience working from engineering drawings to fabricate steel components
  • Skilled in working with thin gauge sheet metal and heavy gauge steel

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • NVQ/C&G in Fabrication and Welding or equivalent
  • Previously coded in MIG welding
  • Experience welding galvanised steel / stainless steel
