Machine Operator

Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading steel company in their search for a Machine Operator to work at their facility in Shrewsbury.

For the successful Machine Operator our client is offering:

Up to £12.50 per hour DOE
2 week shift rotation - Week 1 & 2 - Monday to Friday, 6am – 2:30pm. Week 3 & 4 - Monday - Friday, 12:00pm - 8:30pm
Temporary to Permanent position
Training and Development opportunities available
In house licence will be provided
Profit-related bonuses & attendance bonuses after qualifying period
29 days annual leave including bank holidays

The role - Machine Operator:

Set up and operate CNC sawing equipment to cut aluminium and stainless steel to customer specifications
Read and accurately interpret order sheets
Read and accurately interpret technical drawings to determine cutting requirements
Select appropriate saw blades, adjust cutting speeds, and position materials for precise cuts
Use forklift to collect own materials to load the CNC
Check quality of finished products.
Monitor sawing operations to ensure accuracy, quality and adherence to safety protocols
Performing daily maintenance checks of metal saw
Maintain a clean and organised work area

What our client is looking for in a Machine Operator:

Previous experience operating a computerised machine- ESSENTIAL
Ability to work from blueprints and technical drawings - ADVANTAGEOUS
Previous experience driving a counterbalance forklift - ESSENTIAL
Previous experience working within the steel industry would be beneficial
Physically fit to lift heavy materials
Ability to work in a fast paced environment

For the successful Food Production Operative our client is offering:

£11.44 per hour
Rotating 6-2/2-10 shifts Monday to Friday
Temporary - Permanent position
Immediate starts available for the right candidates
Overtime available and paid at T1/2

The Role - Food Production Operative;

Packing
Palletising
Unboxing products
Heavy lifting up to 20kg
Quality checking
Performing safety start-up checks for machinery and your work area.
Following food and hygiene regulations on site
Working with a team of around 6-8 people
Supervise the correct running of the various machines ensuring quality finished product.
Working within an ambient temperature production environment (between 3-5o'c)

What our client is looking for in a Food Production Operative;

Previous experience within the food manufacturing industry - ESSENTIAL
Must have picking/ packing/ palletising experience- ESSENTIAL
Experience on bag label machines- DESIRABLE
Must be comfortable with heavy lifting up to 20KG -ESSENTIAL
