Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading manufacturer in their search for a Warehouse Supervisor to work in their leading facility in Telford

Please be aware this will be working in a cold store warehouse so you MUST be prepared to work in this type of environment.

The working hours of the business will typically range from 5am - midnight, although the contracted hours will be 10.00 AM to 22.00 PM, flexibility will be key as earlier starts or later finished may be required.

Due to the nature of the business the hiring manager would prefer someone from the food manufacturing/packaging industry.

The hiring manager is aiming for a start date of the 17th May, training will be based up in Scotland so you MUST be prepared to work up their whilst training, all expenses including accommodation will be paid.

For the successful Warehouse Supervisor our client is offering;

  1. Permanent position
  2. Starting salary between £23,500 - £25,000 per annum (D.O.E)
  3. 40 hour week, typical hours will be 10.00 AM - 22.00 PM Monday to Friday, but flexibility will be required

The Role of the Warehouse Supervisor;

  1. Supervise unloading of goods from delivery vehicles, ensuring vehicles/drivers adhere to site rules.
  2. Check stock in ensuring accuracy of quantity and quality in accordance with documentation, report any discrepancies via agreed processes.
  3. Ensure stock details are input into the WMS (Sage) system
  4. Prioritise workload based on sales requirements and out of stock lines.
  5. Manage returns process ensuring all rejected stock is identified and dealt with as per company rules/supplier agreements.
  6. Liaise with Purchasing with regards to any discrepancies or other non-conformances
  7. Ensure pallets are checked prior to despatch and the accurate completion of correct paperwork to accompany goods.
  8. Where necessary, assist in the investigation of causes of accidents, the circumstances leading to them and in the compilation of necessary reports, providing corrective advice to prevent recurrence.
  9. Keep up to date with Health & Safety procedures to maintain the security and safety of teams.
  10. Attend, participate, and contribute to internal meetings, ensuring appropriate up to date information is communicated and acted upon.
  11. Respond to phone requests and / or emails in a professional and timely manner, maintaining excellent levels of service.
  12. Ensure that the team carries out their duties accurately and in a timely manner and has a sound and current knowledge of company procedures.
  13. Devote appropriate time to development and training of team.

What our client is looking for in a Warehouse Supervisor:

  1. Experience with a WMS System - ESSENTIAL
  2. FLT Counterbalance license - PREFERRED
  3. Previous experience within a similar role - ESSENTIAL
  4. Experience with using a SAGE System - PREFERRED
