Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading manufacturing company in their search for a Contracts Manager to work in their leading facility in West Bromwich.

This role is predominantly an office based position, but there will be travel involved so a company car is provided.

For the successful Contracts Manager our client is offering;

  1. Permanent position
  2. Standard hours of 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday, early finish Friday
  3. Salary will depend on experience

The Role of the Contracts Manager;

  1. Attend contract start up meetings and take responsibility for the projects allocated
  2. Prepare and submit Risk Assessments and Method Statements in line with company procedures
  3. Ensure that contract programs are drafted, submitted and agreed with clients in accordance with contractual obligations.
  4. Provide all progress monitoring reports as directed by the Commercial Manager
  5. Implement and control all Quality Assurance and Health and Safety procedures in respect of projects
  6. Gaining all site related sign off and sectional approvals form the client construction team
  7. Implementing and compiling all quality control documentation 
  8. Implement project controls and monitor all correspondence with supply and sub-contract service companies
  9. Ensure all substantiation is submitted to the commercial department 
  10. Maintain and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
  11. Communicate with a range of people including the client, subcontractors, suppliers, the public and the workforce
  12. Contribute to pre tender risk and opportunity meetings in conjunction with Commercial, Production Planning and Design teams
  13. Contribute to process improvements within the business
  14. UK Travel and site visits will be required to suit projects requirements

What our client is looking for in a Contracts Manager;

  1. A proven background in Contracts/Project Management - ESSENTIAL
  2. Minimum of 5 years experience in the Construction Industry - ESSENTIAL
  3. Highways or Civils Engineering experience - ESSENTIAL
  4. Knowledge and experience with NEC3/4 Contracts - ESSENTIAL
  5. Competent with Microsoft Office Packages - ESSENTIAL
  6. Full UK Driving License - ESSENTIAL
  7. NEBOSH & SMSTS Qualifications - DESIRABLE
  8. CSCS Black Card - DESIRABLE
