Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading logistics and shipping company in their search for a Driver Trainer to work in their facility in Dafen, Llanelli 

For the successful Driver Trainer HGV LGV our client is offering:
  1. £39,000 per annum 
  2. 45 hours per week, Monday-Friday, varying start times 
  3. 28 Days holiday (inclusive of Bank holidays) 
  4. Permanent position 
The role – Driver Trainer HGV LGV:
  1. Assist in achieving full legal compliance with the Operators License, Health and Safety and Driver Hour Regulations
  2. Design, develop and deliver effective driver Induction and Training programmes, regularly monitor and review accordingly and ensure Statutory Training requirements are met
  3. Implementing appropriate courses including tachograph, manual handling, fuel management, defensive driving and safety training
  4. Classroom presentations on Highway Code, Drivers hours, Safe Loading (Steel), Health & Safety, and working time directive rules and regulations
  5. To design and implement training and development programmes as appropriate to improve operational efficiency
  6. Give consideration to the costings of such planned programmes and keep within budgets as assessing the return on investment
  7. Reviewing data from the in-cab telematics and Tachograph analysis systems including Driver Hour Infringements, MPG, Idling, Harsh Braking/Acceleration, and agreeing on a corrective training plan
What our client is looking for in a Driver Trainer HGV LGV:
  1. Full HGV Driving License - ESSENTIAL
  2. Demonstrate ability to prepare effective written and visual teaching materials in line with course requirements
  3. Driver, Training, and Assessment Related qualifications (RTITB, RHA, SAFED and/or equivalent) - ESSENTIAL
  4. Train the Trainer Qualification/Assessor Qualifications - ESSENTIAL
  5. JAUPT approved training assessor and CPC qualification - ESSENTIAL
