For the successful Field Service Engineer, our client is offering:

  • Salary £38,500 per annum (Depending on experience)
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM 
  • Permanent days
  • Regular Overtime / payable Monday to Saturday X1.5 and Sunday X2.
  • 45 hours per week
  • Pay reviews, one is currently underway so salary may rise

The Role – Field Service Engineer:

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer in the Cheshire area to be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing third-party material handling equipment. In this role, you will be providing a good level of customer service through product knowledge and customer interaction.

  • Complete all service, repair, warranty, and inspection jobs allocated daily, to a high-quality standard
  • Working on a variety of Material Handling equipment - Working on quite large equipment at times
  • Build strong rapport and relationships with customers, through professional behaviour and a customer-focused mindset
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve standard technical problems that arise, ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
  • Develop skills and knowledge of the organisation’s products and service
  • Comply with all Legal and company standards, such as the code of conduct and H&S practices.
  • This role will involve also travelling to other areas depending on what the Coordinators have scheduled in workwise

What our client is looking for in a Field Service Engineer:

  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar qualifications to Level 3 - ESSENTIAL 
  • Experienced multi-skilled engineering experience with heavy plant equipment and working with Hydraulic Systems ESSENTIAL
  • Able to read and follow electrical wiring diagrams
  • Experience coming from a Heavy Plant / Material Handling background is ESSENTIAL
  • Fault find and diagnostics of CANBUS Systems, as well as electrical fault finding
  • Must be ok to work from heights - ESSENTIAL
  • Good IT literacy, numeracy, and analytical skills.
  • Must be flexible and very adaptable
  • Must be happy to be a part of an on call rota 
  • Flexibility to travel as the location will depend on what the Coordinators have scheduled
