Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading manufacturing company in their search for a Quality Engineer to work in their leading facility in Shrewsbury.

The hiring manager is looking for someone who has completed an Engineering Apprenticeship and has at least 10 years’ experience within Automotive Presswork and Fabrications.

For the successful Quality Engineer our client is offering;

  1. Permanent position
  2. Annual salary up to £35,000 per annum (D.O.E)
  3. 7.00am -16.00pm Monday to Thursday, 12.00pm finish Friday
  4. 29 days holiday (including bank holidays)

The Role of the Quality Engineer;

  1. Maintain and update Control Plans, PFMEA and Inspection Plans.
  2. Prepare Customer PPAPs. Create ISIR reports.
  3. Create and update Operator Control Cards & Packing Specs.
  4. Identify Root Cause on site or customer QA issues and implement the Corrective action using 8D processes
  5. 1st and Last Off inspection when required.
  6. Control the calibration register and ensure the schedule is maintained.
  7. Analysis of scrap and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  8. Knowledge of CMM inspection equipment.
  9. Monitor changes in customer specifications ensuring process owners implement change when required.
  10. Ensure scrap is dispositioned, recorded, and reported at defined intervals.

What our client is looking for in a Quality Engineer;

  1. Previous experience within a similar role - ESSENTIAL
  2. Minimum of 10 years experience within Automotive Presswork & Fabrications - ESSENTIAL
  3. Knowledge/previous experience within Powder Coating - PREFERRED
  4. Must have experience working to ISO9001 and IATF16949
