Recruit4staff are representing an established steel fabrication contractor in their search for a Fabricator Welder to work in Skelmersdale

Job Details:

  • Pay: Up to £18 per hour
  • Hours of Work: 8 am – 4:30 pm (Mon–Thu), 8 am – 3:30 pm (Fri)
  • Duration: Temp to Perm
Job Role: The Fabricator Welder will be responsible for fabricating using variety of steel products, including mild steel, stainless steel, and structural steel. This Fabricator Welder role is a hands-on position requiring the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, perform MIG and TIG welding, and carry out fabrication work on architectural metalwork & secondary steelwork. The Fabricator Welder will be a key part of the workshop team, contributing to high-quality output in a fast-paced, fabrication-focused environment.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Ability to fabricate steel components from engineering drawings
  • Good MIG welding skills
  • Previous experience working with mild steel

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • C&G/NVQ in Fabrication & Welding or similar/equivalent trade qualification
  • Experience working with stainless steel
  • Experience of TIG welding
  • Previously coded in MIG welding
