Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading recycling and green waste producer, in their search for a Workshop Technician based in Liverpool

For the successful Workshop Technician our client is offering:

  • £18 per hour (£37,400 per annum) plus Overtime 
  • 7am- 4pm Monday - Friday
  • Overtime available on Saturdays on a rota basis
  • Permanent position 

The role - Workshop Technician:

  • Mechanical maintenance on diggers, JCB's, Trommels and Crushers
  • Maintenance tasks on compressor, hydraulic and rotating equipment 
  • Using a portable handheld device for job allocations
  • Working in the workshop

What our client is looking for in a Workshop Technician

  • Mechanical engineering qualifications ideally to Level 3 or equivalent 
  • Previous experience of repairing plant equipment BENIFICIAL
  • Welding experience BENIFICIAL

The Role - Plant Engineer

  • Working within the company's workshop and at customer sites
  • Repair and refurbishment of excavator buckets and attachments
  • Repair of customer machinery
  • Service & maintenance work
  • Fault finding & breakdown work
  • Predominantly carry out welding works on large pieces of heavy plant and equipment
  • Working at customer sites across the UK

What our client is looking for in the successful Plant Engineer:

  • C&G/NVQ in Heavy Plant Engineering or equivalent - ESSENTIAL
  • Previously coded in MMA or MIG Welding - BENEFICIAL 
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience of heavy plant & machinery maintenance - ESSENTIAL
  • Previous  experience of MMA and MIG - BENEFICIAL
  • Full drivers licence - ESSENTIAL
  • CSCS Card - BENEFICIAL 
  • NPORS Tickets - BENEFICIAL 
  • MPQC - BENEFICIAL 
  • SPA Passport - BENEFICIAL
  • Willingness to work across the UK, with overnight stays as required
  • Ability to work alone and to strict time constraints
