Technical Manager

Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading Manufacturing business in their search for a Technical Manager to work in their leading facility in Telford.

This is a brand new role with a new company who have recently moved to Telford and they are looking to add an experienced Technical Manager who has knowledge/previous experience within the recycling industry.

For the successful Technical Manager our client is offering:

1. Annual salary up to £60,000 per annum (D.O.E)
2. Day shift position (42.5 hours per week)
3. Permanent position
4. 28 days holiday

The Duties: Technical Manager;

1. Taking full accountability for the technical performance, including engineering, maintenance plan, downtime control and efficiency of the production line
2. Implementation of MES
3. Leadership, development, and line management of the site Technical Team.
4. Devise and review the technical strategy of the site and include the implementation of new systems
5. Leadership and people management of the technical team
6. Setting team KPIs, objectives and development plans which are reviewed frequently
7. Planning and managing of the technical development of the site and production process
8. Designing, communicating, and implementing technical policies and procedures.
9. Accurate budgeting of resource, maintenance, and equipment,
10. Identify cost savings.
11. Production support to minimise downtime and increase output
12. Manage technical incidence including investigations
13. Being part of the senior team, attend the management meeting, help and contribute to establish the company’s growth and future plans

What our client is looking for in a Technical Manager;

1. Minimum of 5 years experience within a similar role - ESSENTIAL
2. Minimum of 5 years experience within the recycling/paper pulp manufacturing industry - ESSENTIAL
3. Experience with running a team of more then 10 staff - ESSENTIAL
4. Must be computer literate and have knowledge of MES - ESSENTIAL
5. New plant set up experience
6. Bachelors degree or above in Science - PREFERRED
