Recruit4staff are representing a well-established maritime engineering and shipbuilding company in their search for a Project Manager to work in Wirral

Job Details:

  • Pay: £70,000 - £80,000
  • Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm, in person
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Benefits: BUPA, Enhanced Pension scheme including salary sacrifice, Discretionary bonus scheme, 26 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays
Job Role: The Project Manager will act as the senior accountable owner for customer relationships, overseeing high-value contracts within the commercial and defence sectors. You will manage projects from inception to delivery, ensuring design, engineering, and quality standards are met. You’ll collaborate closely with the senior leadership team and other Project Managers to meet technical, financial, and delivery goals. This hands-on role includes time on the shop floor and serving as the commercial point of contact for clients. You’ll also lead supply chain engagement and contribute to continuous improvement in project management processes.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Project Management
  • Client/Contract Management
  • Technical understanding of steel fabrication, heavy engineering & shipbuilding
  • Commercial acumen including excellent contract & financial management
  • C&G/NVQ in Fabrication and Welding or equivalent qualification

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

  • Background in shipbuilding, bridges, or heavy industrial manufacturing
Additional Information
  • Due to the nature of the project work, the successful Project Manager will need to be security cleared.
